Yadkin County Emergency Medical Services is responsible for the provision of emergency medical care throughout the county. This is accomplished by providing 5 Advanced Life Support ambulances and 1 Quick Response Vehicle (staffed by our shift supervisor) strategically placed throughout the county. We deliver these services utilizing data-driven protocols that have been provided by the state and perused by our local Medical Director.
In addition, we also utilize 2 full-time Community Paramedics in our service. The Community Paramedic program includes a dedicated Opioid Response Paramedic and a traditional Community Paramedic... they are both responsible for various aspects of additional Medical Care within Yadkin County.
In 2024, Yadkin County Emergency Medical Services was dispatched to over 6,300 calls for service.
